Due to the highly bespoke, labor-intensive nature of custom software engineering, MAGTASTIC INC. adheres to a strict policy regarding refunds for engineering services.
For custom platform development executed under a fixed-bid Statement of Work (SOW), an initial discovery and architecture deposit is required. This deposit is non-refundable as it covers the immediate deployment of engineering resources to audit your legacy stack and provision database instances. Subsequent milestone payments are tied to tangible software deliverables (e.g., Alpha Release, Beta Testing, Production Go-Live) and are non-refundable once the milestone is approved by the Client.
For clients on ongoing technical retainers (hosting, serverless function maintenance, priority bug fixing), payments are billed at the beginning of each 30-day billing cycle. You may cancel your retainer at any time with 30 days written notice. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial months of service if cancellation occurs mid-cycle.
If you believe a delivered milestone materially deviates from the agreed-upon technical specifications in the SOW, you must notify us in writing within 14 days of delivery. We will dedicate engineering resources to rectify the deviations at no additional cost. Refunds are not issued for subjective design preferences if the software functions according to the technical specifications.
We cannot offer refunds for project delays or failures caused by third-party API deprecations, rate-limit changes by external vendors (e.g., Stripe, Salesforce), or failure of the Client to provide necessary API credentials or sandbox access in a timely manner.
